A STUDY FOR STAIRCASE, NO. 111012
JEROME MARSHAK and KENYA (ROBINSON)
On November 10, 2012, as part of Recess at MOMA, Jerome Marshak and Kenya (Robinson) asked the viewer to consider the Museum of Modern Art’s own architecture as a work for exhibition. Following the artists’ choreography, a group of performers traveled between various positions on the main staircase, performing prescribed actions. View map and intervention details here.

Hi, Jerome,
What an interesting project. Might you have any video associated with this work? I would love to learn more about it.

I would be happy to send more re the original study
you can see it on Morphocode – small multiples in architecture.
I included a slideshow of 1,300 images from the
People in Motion on staircase 11012. There is a good brief description if the study in that Morphocode blog
My best,
Jerome
